Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments with 100% accuracy
- Identify and cross-sell banking products (credit cards, loans, accounts) based on customer needs
- Resolve customer inquiries regarding account balances, fees, and digital banking services
- Maintain strict compliance with banking regulations (BSA, AML, KYC) and security protocols
- Balance cash drawer daily and reconcile discrepancies using advanced reconciliation tools
- Collaborate with branch management to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction goals
- Train new tellers on branch procedures and customer service standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year cash handling or customer service experience
- Proficiency with banking software (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry) and MS Office Suite
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex financial concepts simply
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor with ability to maintain composure during high-volume periods
- Valid NY State driver's license (if required for branch travel)
