Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees, including payroll tax filings.
- Reconcile credit card statements and handle expense reports efficiently.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups.
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
