We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Financial Analyst to join Meridian Capital Group in Fresno, CA. As a key player in our finance team, you will drive financial strategy and provide actionable insights that help us navigate the market effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and supporting the budgeting process. You will work closely with department heads to ensure our financial goals are met while maintaining the flexibility to work from home.
Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build and maintain complex financial models to support annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic planning.
- Variance Analysis: Perform in-depth variance analysis between actuals and budgets, identifying trends, variances, and root causes.
- Reporting & Presentations: Create clear, concise, and visually appealing financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and board meetings.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to streamline financial processes and improve data accuracy.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Assist in internal audits and ensure all financial reporting complies with GAAP and company policies.
- Cost Management: Analyze cost structures to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data analysis.
- Tools: Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a significant plus.
