Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic planning.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct rigorous analysis of actuals versus forecasts to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including executive summaries, for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Process Optimization: Streamline financial workflows and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency and data accuracy.
- Market Research: Analyze industry trends and competitor performance to provide context for financial performance and strategic recommendations.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting adheres to GAAP standards and internal corporate governance policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or investment analysis.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA, Macros, Pivot Tables) and experience with financial software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into clear, strategic insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Location: Must be based in Los Angeles, CA and available for on-site collaboration.
