Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Verify and input employee timesheets, deductions, and tax withholdings
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies with banks
- Assist in year-end tax reporting (W-2s, 1099s) and audits
- Maintain confidential employee records and HRIS data integrity
- Collaborate with HR department on new hire onboarding and terminations
- Implement payroll process improvements to enhance efficiency
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to obtain California Payroll Tax certification within 6 months
- Proactive problem-solving approach with minimal supervision
