Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system using QuickBooks or Xero.
- Process payroll data and ensure tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Organize and file physical and electronic financial documents.
- Perform basic financial analysis to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
- 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software.
- Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial staff.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
