Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices and bills are recorded accurately and on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Bookkeeping Software: Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage to maintain financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Invoicing: Generate and send invoices to clients and verify receipt of payments.
- Document Management: Organize and maintain physical and digital financial documents and filing systems.
- Assist with Payroll: Support the payroll process by collecting necessary time sheets and data entry.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; internship or academic projects in accounting are a plus.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting principles and terminology.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to spot errors in data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Ability to meet deadlines and work independently as well as part of a team.
