Responsibilities
- Process daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Organize and file physical and electronic financial documents to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Support the Payroll process by verifying timecards and calculating payroll taxes.
- Assist senior accountants with data entry and auditing tasks to ensure data integrity.
- Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and answer inquiries.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in financial data.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
