Job Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for supporting the finance department with daily operations, including accounts payable/receivable, data entry, and preparing financial reports. This is an excellent role for someone who wants to build a solid foundation in accounting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Prepare and organize financial statements and reports for management review.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to input and verify data.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles (double-entry bookkeeping is a significant advantage).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables experience preferred).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in financial data.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
