Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Process and code invoices accurately to ensure timely payments.
- Prepare basic financial reports and weekly/monthly summaries for management.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records.
- Assist with payroll data entry and verification processes.
- Learn and utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero under supervision.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in data.
- Basic math skills and comfort with numbers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and located in the Boston, MA area.
