Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Process and reconcile daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording daily financial data and performing month-end close procedures.
- Bank Reconciliation: Compare bank statements to internal records to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate basic financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation of payroll data and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
- Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and code invoices for payment, ensuring proper documentation and approval workflows.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to input data and track financial activity.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative finance roles is a plus; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables). Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data entry and financial documents.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
