Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Reconcile Accounts: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, ledgers, and general ledger maintenance.
- Invoice Processing: Generate and send invoices to clients, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents and receipts.
- Support & Compliance: Support the senior accounting team with tax preparation, payroll assistance, and compliance requirements.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to manage client accounts effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role is a plus, but we welcome entry-level candidates with a strong aptitude for math.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulas). Familiarity with accounting software is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when working with numbers and financial data.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
