Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Process and manage daily accounts payable and receivable transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to ensure all data matches internal records.
- Data Entry: Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records using industry-standard accounting software.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Invoicing: Generate and send invoices to clients, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Organization: Maintain an organized filing system for both physical and digital financial documents.
- Support: Collaborate with senior accountants to support the month-end closing process and audit preparations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel (basic formulas and formatting).
- Software: Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero is a plus but not mandatory.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure numerical accuracy in all tasks.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
