Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Handle daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks with precision and timeliness.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial records match bank statements.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and general ledgers.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital and physical financial records.
- Payroll Support: Aid in the preparation of payroll data and ensure tax filings are current.
- Client Support: Provide basic accounting support to clients and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; academic projects or internship experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks or Xero).
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professionalism: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office setting.
