Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for small to medium-sized businesses.
- Manage and organize financial documents and digital records.
- Prepare basic financial reports and expense summaries.
- Perform data entry and maintain the general ledger system.
- Support the finance department with month-end close activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Willingness to learn accounting software (QuickBooks or Xero).
- Excellent communication skills and a professional work ethic.
- No prior accounting experience is required; on-the-job training provided.
