Responsibilities
- Process and post daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a monthly basis to ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain and update the general ledger with precise data entry and documentation.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Organize and file physical and digital invoices, receipts, and financial records.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and payment status.
- Support the senior accounting team with tax preparation, payroll assistance, and year-end audits.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables are preferred).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and financial terminology.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and vendor interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a significant advantage.
