What You Will Do
As an Entry Level Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our clients. You will work under the guidance of senior accountants to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices and bills are recorded accurately and on time.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records using accounting software.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and trial balances for management review.
- Closing Processes: Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by gathering necessary documentation and data.
- Client Support: Communicate with clients to answer inquiries regarding account status and resolve billing issues.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; strong academic background in accounting is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Software: Familiarity with accounting platforms like QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to work independently.
