Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and basic financial statements.
- Enter and categorize financial data into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for invoices and receipts.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and preparing trial balances.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding account status and outstanding items.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- No prior accounting experience required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with learning new software.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
