Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor statements, and ensure timely payment to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting transactions and balancing accounts on a monthly basis.
- Payroll Support: Aid in the preparation and processing of payroll records, ensuring all deductions and taxes are calculated correctly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of basic financial reports and assist the senior team with month-end close procedures.
- Document Management: Organize and file financial documents, receipts, and contracts in both physical and digital systems.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior bookkeeping experience required. We provide full training for the right candidate.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is preferred but can be learned on the job.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors, maintain data accuracy, and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Reliability: Must be trustworthy, organized, and able to work independently.
