Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Bookkeeping: Process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank and credit card reconciliations monthly to maintain accurate financial records.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording entries and updating accounts as required.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately input financial data into accounting software and generate basic financial reports for management review.
- Invoice Processing: Verify, approve, and process vendor invoices and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Support & Training: Collaborate with senior accountants to understand financial processes and assist with month-end close procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; internship or academic coursework in accounting is highly preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential); familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a strong plus.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts simply.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
