Apex Financial Solutions is excited to announce an opening for a motivated Entry Level Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team in Virginia Beach, TX. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is eager to launch a career in accounting and finance. As an Entry Level Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring that our records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies. You will work closely with our senior accounting team to learn the ins and outs of financial management.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and balance sheets.
- Organize and file physical and digital financial documents.
- Support the month-end close process by gathering necessary data.
- Perform data entry and basic bookkeeping duties using accounting software.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience is preferred but not required (we provide training).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, formatting).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills and a positive attitude.
