In this position, you will play a crucial role in our day-to-day operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records and supporting the broader finance department.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure all transactions are accurate.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records and ledgers.
- Process payroll transactions accurately and on a timely basis.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and payments.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in data.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to learn bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Professional demeanor and strong verbal and written communication skills.
