Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online
- Process accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Assist with monthly closing procedures and financial reporting
- Prepare sales tax filings and payroll support documentation
- Organize and file financial documents for audit readiness
- Support senior accountants with data analysis and special projects
- Adhere to GAAP standards and confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles
- Valid Illinois driver's license (for client visits)
