Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor communications
- Prepare financial reports including profit/loss statements and balance sheets
- Assist with payroll processing and tax document preparation
- Support month-end closing procedures and audit readiness
- Implement bookkeeping best practices across client accounts
- Collaborate with senior accountants on financial analysis projects
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with payroll processing software a plus
- Valid California driver's license required for client visits
