Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and financial records
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting
- Utilise Xero and QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks
- Prepare VAT returns and support HMRC compliance
- Handle payroll processing and associated documentation
- Support audits by providing necessary financial documentation
Qualifications
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above
- AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting or equivalent qualification
- Basic knowledge of UK GAAP and tax regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Experience with accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
