The Role:
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, reconciliation of accounts, and communication with vendors. We are looking for a candidate who is organized, tech-savvy, and eager to learn the ins and outs of Accounts Payable operations.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify the accuracy of incoming invoices, ensuring proper coding, approval routing, and posting.
- Process vendor payments via various methods, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks, adhering to strict internal controls.
- Maintain and update the vendor master file, resolving discrepancies and answering vendor inquiries regarding payments.
- Assist in month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliation of the AP sub-ledger.
- Perform data entry and record-keeping tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to implement process improvements and streamline AP workflows.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions related to payable accounts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- No prior professional experience required; we train the right candidates.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel (vlookup, pivot tables are a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
