Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with the general ledger.
- Process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare basic financial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting schedules.
- Support senior accountants with tax preparation and audit documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or currently enrolled).
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and accounting concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a plus.
