Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close procedures.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in budget preparation and tracking.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel) to maintain organized financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 0-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a relevant internship.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies in financial data.
- Familiarity with GAAP and basic financial reporting principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
