As a Junior Accountant, you will be the backbone of our financial operations. Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks and accurate data entry into accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero).
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial records are up to date.
- Support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments with invoice processing and payments.
- Prepare basic financial reports and assist in the month-end closing process.
- Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems for financial documents.
- Assist in the preparation of sales tax returns and local regulatory filings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a strong plus.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel highly desired.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new financial software and processes.
