Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks: Perform accurate data entry and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Support Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify receipts, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Maintain Financial Records: Organize and file financial documents, receipts, and bank statements.
- Reconcile Statements: Compare bank statements to internal records to identify discrepancies and resolve errors.
- Prepare Reports: Assist in the preparation of basic financial reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
- Assist with Payroll: Support the payroll department with data verification and processing.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with internal policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high accuracy in data entry.
- Software Proficiency: Basic computer literacy with a strong aptitude for learning new accounting software and tools.
- Math Skills: Solid foundation in basic arithmetic and financial calculations.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
