What You Will Do
Responsibilities
- Assist with Month-End and Year-End Close: Support the accounting team in preparing trial balances, adjusting entries, and financial statements on a monthly and annual basis.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Compile data and assist in the preparation of various financial reports and supporting documentation for management review.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring all documentation complies with GAAP and internal policies.
- Assist with Tax Preparation: Collaborate with senior accountants to gather information for tax filings and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an accounting role, or internship experience in a finance department.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite).
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a deadline-driven environment.
