Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and journal entries.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Prepare basic financial statements and support audit preparations.
- Assist in budget preparation and expense monitoring for assigned accounts.
- Respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding account balances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a CPA/Accounting degree).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of tax preparation or prior internship experience is a plus.
