Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Support the senior accounting team during month-end and year-end close processes.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and invoices.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and federal/state filings.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to enter data and track expenses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- No prior professional experience required; we value potential over experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology.
