Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and posting of daily journal entries and adjusting entries.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Process and review invoices for accounts payable and manage accounts receivable follow-ups.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare basic financial reports and assist in budget analysis.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems for financial documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently enrolled in a CPA track program).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and functions).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Previous internship experience in a finance department is a plus.
