Responsibilities
- Assist with Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor data, and ensure timely payments.
- Data Entry & Reconciliation: Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and budgets.
- General Ledger Support: Help maintain the general ledger by recording daily transactions and ensuring account balances are accurate.
- Compliance & Documentation: Organize and file financial documents, tax forms, and other regulatory paperwork.
- Expense Management: Review expense reports for accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; Associate’s degree with relevant coursework is acceptable.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; internship or academic project experience is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is a strong advantage.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and management.
