Responsibilities
- Assist with daily data entry and accounts payable/receivable processing.
- Support the monthly and annual closing processes under supervision.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical financial records.
- Prepare basic financial reports and assist in budget preparation.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding invoices and payments.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to log transactions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in data.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word is a plus.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debit/credit) is helpful but not mandatory.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems.
