About the Role
We are looking for a candidate eager to learn the fundamentals of accounting. In this role, you will assist the finance team with daily operations and gain exposure to real-world financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily data entry and the maintenance of accurate financial records.
- Perform bank reconciliations and review credit card statements.
- Support the month-end close process by preparing trial balances and schedules.
- Prepare and organize supporting documentation for audits.
- Assist in the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) to update ledgers.
- Generate basic financial reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently enrolled).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and basic formulas.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in number crunching.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to learn new accounting software and industry standards.
- A positive attitude and a desire to grow within the finance sector.
