Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Perform daily accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by compiling necessary journal entries and reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain and organize financial records, tax documents, and audit schedules.
- Assist senior accountants in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Communicate financial findings to the management team effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently enrolled in a relevant Master’s program).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- CPA certification or willingness to obtain it within 2 years is a plus.
