Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and posting of daily journal entries to the general ledger.
- Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including matching invoices and processing payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Support the month-end and year-end close procedures by gathering and analyzing financial data.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and filing systems.
- Prepare basic financial reports and spreadsheets for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of supporting documentation for external audits and tax filings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 0-2 years of experience in accounting or a recent graduate with relevant internship experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and accounting software (QuickBooks or Xero experience a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data entry.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
