Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring all invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by entering data into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) with high precision.
- Tax Support: Prepare basic tax documentation and assist the senior tax team during tax season to ensure compliance.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a CPA/CMA certification).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an accounting role, internship experience, or equivalent coursework.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups). Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy in complex financial documents.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
