We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks: including data entry, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining the general ledger.
- Support financial reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and assist the senior accounting team with audit preparations.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Assist with payroll processing: Help in gathering timesheets and ensuring accurate payroll data entry.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist in budget preparation: Work with management to track departmental budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Research and resolve discrepancies: Investigate and fix any errors in financial data.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred; high school diploma with equivalent work experience is acceptable.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a must) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is a plus).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and maintain high accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
