Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Expense Reconciliation: Review and reconcile expense reports and invoices to ensure proper coding and approval.
- Bookkeeping Support: Process journal entries and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits as required.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes adhere to company policies and relevant regulatory standards.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Assist senior accountants with special projects and financial analysis tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role; internship experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Work Ethic: Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Certification: Pursuing or holding a CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
