Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks and reconciliation.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and ledgers using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by compiling data and generating reports.
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy and ensure proper coding and payment authorization.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external audits.
- Perform bank reconciliations and identify discrepancies to resolve with the bank or internal teams.
- Organize and file financial documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (graduating seniors are encouraged to apply).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables) and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data entry and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large sets of financial data.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
