Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and maintain financial documents, including invoices, reports, and spreadsheets.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes under the guidance of senior accountants.
- Perform basic financial analysis and variance reporting.
- Maintain accurate filing systems, both digital and physical.
- Assist with external audit preparations and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree with expected graduation within 6 months).
- 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internships count).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and general ledger functions.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
