Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial statement preparation including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses
- Perform account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, bank statements, and subsidiary ledgers
- Support accounts payable/receivable processes including invoice verification, payment processing, and collections
- Contribute to internal audits by preparing documentation and supporting schedules
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite) to maintain accurate financial records
- Assist in budget preparation variance analysis and financial forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or entry-level experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong data analysis skills
- Familiarity with GAAP principles and basic accounting concepts
- QuickBooks or enterprise accounting software experience
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional accuracy in numerical tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
