Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
- Support the month-end and year-end close process by preparing adjusting entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process invoices and maintain accurate accounting records using QuickBooks and Excel.
- Assist external auditors during annual audits and provide requested documentation.
- Monitor and report on cash flow and budget variances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree with graduation date within 6 months).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
