Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Assist with month-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Support audit procedures by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities under senior guidance
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel for data analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (0-2 years experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge
- Familiarity with GAAP principles and accounting software systems
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Detail-oriented approach with high accuracy standards
- QuickBooks or Sage software experience preferred
- Professional certification (CPA eligible) a plus
