Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and compliance filings
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) for transaction processing
- Collaborate with team members on financial audits and internal controls
- Participate in process improvement initiatives for accounting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0-2 years of accounting experience or relevant internship
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- QuickBooks certification preferred but not required
