Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with precision
- Prepare month-end closing reports and financial statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll systems
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with GAAP/SEC regulations
- Support tax preparation processes for corporate clients
- Implement and improve accounting workflows using QuickBooks Online
- Collaborate with senior accountants on special financial projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or clerical experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of California state tax regulations preferred
