Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and adjusting entries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- Assist with the preparation of tax documents and support external audits as needed.
- File and organize financial documents and supporting schedules for internal and external review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently enrolled in a CPA track program).
- 0-2 years of relevant experience, or an internship in accounting/finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced functions in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
